Originally this was going to be an hour of drum & bass in the mix, but then my daughter refused to go to bed, so you have a presented show of new music and what a selection we have.

Finally!!! After my daughter took over my studio (did she really need her own bedroom), I set up a little corner of the living room to have my Pioneer controller hooked up and ready to play. It was great to have a little mess around and I recorded a bit of a breaks mix.

I know it's been a moment, but here is a new podcast! And I thought I would take it back to a format of how I used to do my shows back when I was broadcasting live on Fire Radio, with a slight difference (no live mixing).

A little out of my comfort zone I was asked to play a chill out set at Bay Bar in Ibiza. The music policy was house music, 'house music Mike, no chilled dubstep or liquid drum & bass, house music Mike!!'. He didn't say I couldn't play breaks so...

During the "platty joobs" weekend the family, my brother and best mate went to the King Of The Beats all day-er at the Fox & Firkin. It was essentially a large pub garden with a bit of a rave corner.

This mix is very much inspired by the breakbeat classics played that day.

This time round we have Sekret Chadow in the mix from RaveArt Winter Festive 2022 in Granada. Also we have incredible music from Koven, OndaMike, P Money x Whiney and more!

OK, it's been a moment, sorry about that. Long story short, my mental health went sideways which meant recording was really tricky. I made the actual show about a month ago, but doing the vocals, well that's a story for another time.

It's the first week of Feb, so let's look back at January (as we missed a load of great music). If this is what January brought us, I can't wait for the rest of the year!!

2021 has been another great year for bass music. We select some our favourite tracks of the year.

Last new music show of the year and we have some awesome tracks. A cover of a classic by Luude, Neon Steve & Marten Horger doing their take on hiphop, a huge colab by High Contrast & Bou, and more music from Something Something. Plus a classic archive mix from 2017.

This is an exciting show. We have a new remix by one of my favourite artists, Nero! Plus Bensley debut foray into dubstep, drum & bass from Beat Assassins, Rene LaVice and Science of Man, and more! Plus we go into the archive for a breaks and electro mix.

After a moment (again) we are back with a huge show featuring music from Danny Byrd & D Double E, an epic odyssey from 1991, the return of Evol Intent and more!! Plus a drum & bass mix from the archive.

On this show I try my hand at a baseline mix. I think it went down well but let me know what you think. Other than that we have music from High Contrast & Alan Fitzpatrick, Skepsis & Kanine, Skream, Y U QT, Blanke, Franky Was and more!
